Between Game Training

Currently i have come to realize that if i plan on competing on an up coming saturday, i need stop my training by tues or wed prior. I feel that that is the best recovery time for me, any closer to the day of comp is detremental to my proformace. If i take to long of a break i feel lathargic and not all the red bull can muster up strength that aint there.

This becomes huge when i have back to back games. I just finished my 4th game in 4 weeks, wow the knees are smokin!! During this i had to figure out how to get my lifting in and still be ready to throw on game day. What i have been doing is throwing sat, rest on sunday(really rest and eat) and lift mon and tues, rest 3 days and stretch and eat. Then i feel good on game day. Its hard to hit the gym monday after a game so i do upper body cause that seems to be the least tiered, tuesday is lower body. I still bench heavy and squat heavy, primarly dynamic movements but heavy. I may throw one event on each day and if i do anything on wed its drills or light events ie... light hammer or stone or sheaf (speed training). However i throw in my head every day every event, i try to figure out differant ques that make sense to me. I remember what felt good on my good throws and make mental notes about body posistions and the timing of each event. I have found that throwing in my head is making me better than beating myself up and over training... well makes sense to me
enough rambling
